The Program provides the PhD students with a broad training plan which includes scientific and technological subjects, as well as soft skills and innovation management, so as to facilitate the application of new technologies in industries. The Program makes the most of the multidisciplinary and international nature of the teaching staff and the availability of high-level laboratories.

The PhD student receives support from an academic and an industrial advisor throughout the duration of the Program. Joint meetings are planned in order to establish full cooperation as far as student guidance and work are concerned, including setting up the course and research plan.

The program roadmap is available here.

Research and development activities

Depending on the path of the PhD student, a research period from 6 to 36 months must be carried out in a company, so as to acquire knowledge and specific skills and perform an in-depth analysis of the issues and needs related to industrial innovation.
